Pilates provids a good opportunity to travel…
At first, it is a trip through your body from the beginning of the session to the end. You need to be concentrated to work out and work deeper and deeper. Our bodies are amazing and we can always travel more and reach further inside them. Our mind and imagination are keys for visiting each part of the body and are very helpful in discovering new things about ourselves.
The trip has no end…
Then, you can take Pilates with you everywhere. As soon as you know some routines and basic exercices, you can use them whereever you are, and your luggage will remain very light! You can easily practice it in your hotel, on the beach, on a plane… there are even some “TV exercises” that you can do while watching TV or computer! Pilates is the ideal travel companion for your trip and you can do it without supervision.
For me, as somebody who has been living in different countries throughout the world, it’s just amazingly helpful for quickly meeting strangers and initiating friendships with others. I taught in France, UK and Thaïland and met French, English, Irish, Scottish, Thaï, Italian, Austrian, Japanese, Norvegian, Indian, Brazilian, Arabic, Chinese, Swiss, German, Dutch, Canadian, Bengali, American, Mexican, Iranian, Australian and African people.
Such a rich activity! Everyone takes me on a trip, by giving me the chance to work with them. How Lucky I am to know this body language and understand it. How beautiful it is to be able to communicate with everybody around the globe. How important it is to learn something new each time I meet someone, because everyone is different and offers me a “personal country”… Each time it’s a new body travel.
“Keep moving to stay Alive” is my motto…
